Secure Messaging Initiative
The Secure Messaging Initiative (SMI) includes a central clearinghouse that messaging providers and government agencies can use to share information about suspected spam messages. This public-private partnership aims to help more rapidly and effectively target enforcement at the senders of unwanted or fraudulent messages
Messaging Security Best Practices
Developed by the SMI’s industry working group, the Messaging Security Best Practices use a standards-based, technical framework aimed at mitigating spam messages and establish common-sense security guidelines that advise messaging stakeholders on technical frameworks to protect their platforms and most importantly, consumers, from unwanted messages.
